I’m Virginia Steck Johnson, an artist exploring nature and living in Denver, Colorado.
I have fond memories of exploring the forest as a kid, finding treasures, and imagining hidden worlds. That feeling of wonder I found as a child is what informs my current work. I enjoy wandering through the woods to find hidden landscapes that I can then transform into expressive paintings. While creating art, I can reconnect with that feeling of childlike exploration.
