Wind-Wandering II, 11x14 Oil Painting
Wind-Wandering II, 11x14 Oil Painting
Several of the titles in this collection are lines from Gerard Manley Hopkin’s 1879 poem “Binsey Poplars.” The poem mourns his “aspens dear” being chopped down in one of the first environmentalist poems. He appreciates the individual beauty of these common rural trees. These natural spaces can be harder to find now than in 1879, but these aspen paintings help me feel connected to everyday wonders that are still all around us.
“Wind-Wandering II” is a 11x14 inch oil painting on canvas. It is signed, titled, and dated on the back. This piece is sold unframed and looks beautiful hung directly on the wall or in a floater frame. Contact me if you are interested in custom framing options.
